Steal these Tricks on how to WOW your Client

I take pride in how I go above and beyond to wow my clients.

Everything from providing education throughout the process, to virtual tours for clients that are out of the area (Bonus points-Accommodate them in their time zone!), helping them get acquainted to the area, introductions to their new neighbors, personalized gifts on closing day and even lending a helping hand with moving. You want to leave your client with a “wow” experience that they will never forget.

A successful “wow” transaction starts from the beginning with your first impression.

Whether you are working with someone in the military that has PCS orders to relocate to the area, a first time home buyer, an investor or a seasoned professional in the buying process, the most important thing to remember is get to know your client from the start. The details matter.

Why are they moving?

Why this area?

Are they military on orders?

What is their timeframe?

What are they looking for specifically? Buying, selling or renting? Short term or long term?

What do they look for in a home?

What do they need in a home?

How many bedrooms and bathrooms?

Do they have children? Will they be going to school or being homeschooled?

Do they want to be in the city or out of the city?

Are they okay with neighborhoods that have an HOA?

The list goes on and on-but you get the gist! Trying to remember to ask all of the “right” questions can feel overwhelming and especially as a newer agent. Take a deep breath and remember you are just having a conversation like you would when meeting anyone else that you are trying to get to know. It sounds simple and it is! A little practice will help you hone in on this straightforward approach and gain confidence when meeting a new client.

By taking the time to get to know your clients from the beginning you can then narrow your focus in on the things that are most important in their home search. This shows the clients that you care and are invested in what is important to them. You have the ability to create a personal connection not only with your client but their family as well that leads to building a long lasting and trusting relationship.

The more you get to know the client the easier it is to impress them with your attention to detail. Taking the time to learn the little things about your clients and their family throughout the home buying process will also help you to give them the perfect closing gift that leaves a lasting impression (And hopefully a few referrals!)

As a real estate agent our goal is to build our SOI. Taking the time to build relationships with your clients can be the difference between losing a client and having a client for life. It all starts with your attention to detail from the beginning and creating those unforgettable “wow” moments.
